We are searching for a Sales Consultant to join the Ferntech team. The team are New Zealand's drone specialists, providing effective and efficient commercial drone solutions across a range of industries, including surveying, agriculture, public safety and asset inspection. We connect our clients with leading brands and proven solutions with the goal of helping local organisations harness aerial technology for their specific needs.
As a member of the sales team you will help create the energy and excitement around DJI products, providing thoughtful solutions and superior customer service. Always curious, you will stay on top of industry news about products and technology, and will be ready to apply your learning in customer interactions.
We are looking for someone with the following skills, experience and values:
Retail sales experience
Has an interest in learning about and engaging with innovative technology
Is technically savvy — prior drone/camera knowledge is desirable
Strong people skills; you are approachable, a good listener, and empathetic to the needs of others
Proven experience in sales
Takes responsibility for outcomes, continually learning, sourcing answers and sharing ideas with others
Builds strong relationships by proactively listening to customers and team members
Presents themselves in a professional manner and takes every interaction as an opportunity to impress and delight our clients
Shows dependability through consistent actions, honesty, respect for others, and working together to find the best solution
Roles and responsibilities:
Advises and sells products in store, and via phone, email and at various shows and events
Continually learns and develops their skill and knowledge as the technology progresses
Taking pride in the retail store and ensuring it is clean orderly and provides a great customer experience.
After-sales service; answering customer queries, providing basic tips and support when required
Works with other team members to provide our clients with the best possible solution
